Strane brings to EU project consortia a profile of startup factory focused on sustainable development, with a real field expertise in innovation. By creating startups, Strane can create a true, differentiating impact on a project.

Enhanced energy resource efficiency and performance in process industry operations via onsite cross-sectorial symbiosis

Strane prepares the exploitation of an IS related software and develop novel business models for industrial symbiosis.

Blueprints for Smart Cities: Developing the methodology for a coordinated approach for the integration of the water and waste sectors within the EIP Smart Cities and Communities 

Strane was tasked to research how to integrate business models for cross-sector interactions within smart cities.

Sustainable integrated management FOR the NEXUS of water-land-food-energy-climate for a resource-efficient Europe   

Strane is WP Leader for the exploitation of the serious game developed in the project.


SCALER aims to massively increase the implementation of industrial symbiosis by identifying value opportunities, using new methods to create a larger market for available resources and to measure and manage the implementation and sustaining of new relationships.

Strane is WorkPackage leader for the assessment of the European potential for Industrial Symbiosis, the creation of generic business cases and the long-term exploitation of the project outcomes.

Incorporation of Ecosystem Services values in the Integrated Management of Irish Freshwater Resources

Strane participates in the Advisory Board to advise the consortium on business models.
